I used this app to learn to use Regular Expressions. It makes creation of the search patterns and replace patterns SO simple. You’ll be up and running in no time. If you are already a pro, it has built-in macros to speed you up. It is super fast even with LARGE files. It processed a text document with 1.3 million characters in under 0.04 seconds. The user interface is well-designed and easy to use. The app is well worth the money.

I cannot say enough good things. This is a great app if you are writing even a slighty complicated regex. Four stars instead of 5 only because, and I took zero time to figure this app out, maybe it does this, I have to muddle around a bit to remember how to tell it the regex I am pasting in is a multi line space ignore regex.

This app performs better than most of the competition for large source text input. It still beach balls and fails for extremely large datasets. I would really love to see improvements for very large datasets. For example, if I change the search pattern or replace pattern, I have to wait for the current regex to process (can take seconds). Please abort the current operation when the fields are still active.

Very simple, easy to use, makes improving regex skills a natural part of the process. I have a few of these regex helper apps, this one is definitely my favorite.

Very pleased with this app — extremely handy for testing regexes against test data before deploying them in code. Would like to see it add more of the functionality from RegexBuddy (the amazing Windows regex tester) though.

Great utility to have when writing Perl scripts.

Great app! Can’t find any faults. I have tried 6 different Regex apps and this is #1 as far as I am concerned. The rest all had their faults.

Great for debugging Regular Expressions. Also really stable (unlike some of the other RegEx apps I’ve tried from the app store).

I’m still fairly new to regex and this has helped me a lot. My learning progress has increased significantly since I started using this.

I have used RegExRX nearly every day for a few months (after outgrowing online testing tools). It helps me get the job done whether I’m testing regex for use in an application or whether I’m just doing a fancy find-replace. For find-replace, I’m surprised to report that RegExRX has been much faster than Dreamweaver’s built-in regex function.
